      @alpacaherder @steve It is true that higher education prices tend to rise high enough to absorb almost all the financial aid taxpayers give to students and still leave them with perilous debt levels. I do not, however, agree that tuition waivers or discounts should be considered taxable income.

         @alpacaherder @steve Imagine if you had to pay taxes on the difference between the dealer's sticker price and your negotiated purchase price. Same idea.

            @lnxw48a1 @steve Restructuring is going to be required.  It won't be pretty.  Companies like Intuit & ADP will be ravaged by this, too.
