@forteller I've never seen Snapchat, so I do not know what it is like, but I'm currently trying out #Ring, #Tox, #Wire. Still too early to make any kind of statement, but I believe all are encrypted.

@lnxw48a1 This reminds me to start #Bitmessage to check for messages. Please report about #Tox. I do not like the GUI of PyBitmessage. It's a bad reinvention of an email client.
-
@lnxw48a1 Does not start due to new libssl version. As I'm on git testing branch I consider it dead. #bitmessage
-
@veg05 I started #Bitmessage ( #PyBitmessage ) a few months ago, but I must have forgotten to transfer the files with account info when I changed the OS on my laptop. I would be starting from scratch, so I haven't started it since.
-
@veg05 Similarly, #Twister info was lost during OS reinstall, so I don't expect to return there.

@lnxw48a1 Before reinstall OS, you have to backup ./twister folder... Meanwhile at least Twister is updated to new libssl. In this folder, there is your wallet with you private key(s) for your account(s). It's also possible to export keys via client. If you overwrite the folder or don't save the key(s), there is absolutely no chance to regain access to your account. It's a pity.
ATM, there are not much active users, only some few who appear occasionally. Astonishingly there is a group constantly creating blocks. I also think, there is some usage by Chinese folks, but I have set a language filter so see only post I understand. You may create a new account later, if Twister ever becomes interesting again.
