Michael (spridlewv@mastodon.cloud)'s status on Sunday, 19-Nov-2017 08:18:45 EST Michael @kat I can’t imagine that it could be, but that’s from an American completely clueless of the ins and outs of it all.

Bob Jonkman (bobjonkman@gs.jonkman.ca)'s status on Sunday, 19-Nov-2017 17:35:13 EST Bob Jonkman There's absolutely nothing on the news in #Canada about #Brexit. I only know about it because I read the BBC news. -

mcscx (mcscx@quitter.se)'s status on Sunday, 19-Nov-2017 18:56:24 EST mcscx @kat I don't understand why opposition leader Corbyn didn't want to vote for quitting Brexit in parliament. -
Bob Mottram (bob@social.freedombone.net)'s status on Sunday, 19-Nov-2017 19:00:42 EST Bob Mottram @mcscx @kat Labour voters are said to be split evenly between pro and anti Brexit, so Corbyn is just doing the thing likely to cause the least friction which is to go along with the referendum result. -
kat (kat@quitter.se)'s status on Sunday, 19-Nov-2017 19:07:37 EST kat @mcscx I think.. 1. Corybn is proBrexit, 2. Going against "The will of the people" (WTF that is) would be not politically expedient. -
mcscx (mcscx@quitter.se)'s status on Sunday, 19-Nov-2017 19:14:41 EST mcscx @kat IMHO the Brexit result was an accident. A that big change should require 2/3 majority. Just 52% of voters (not of people) is not enough -

Matthew Davidson (mjd@microblog.mjd.id.au)'s status on Sunday, 19-Nov-2017 19:25:04 EST Matthew Davidson ATM I agree with #Varoufakis that although the #EU is fundamentally undemocratic it's strategically wiser to try to reform it from within. The terms of Maastricht and the Fiscal Compact are appalling, but as #Corbyn is toeing the neoliberal fully-costed-and-fiscally-responsible line, for the foreseeable future any #UK government will act as though they apply anyway.
