    A co-worker from NYC was talking about replacing his car. I said that he shouldn't need one with their public transit system. He claimed that the system is undermaintained, and that riders are subjected to urine, feces, begging, and assaults, including being pushed in front of an oncoming train. (I haven't been to New York City, but I'm certain it cannot be as bad as he made it sound.)
