The latest Ubuntu gnome has me intrigued, I have replaced Debian testing with the latest ubuntu with the gnome desktop, removed th crapware (amazon shit) and I must admit I like it. So now I will run this, has all the stuff I usually need, and then some.

I've tried Ubuntu 17.10, and found it likewise-- a fast and current GNOME, with some extras. When one removes the Ubuntu extras, Amazon, etc, I suspects, one has Debian Testing, but with GNOME, instead of Mate. This massage coming to you from Debian Testing.

@davehunt @stigatle I'd been hearing about Ubuntu's move to GNOME. Hopefully this means more love for the GNOME desktop suite!

Am also hoping for more attention to the GNOME suite. Glad they decided to join GNOME, rather to continue maintaining Unity, which was a lot like G, anyway, but different enough to be annoying.

@kkebreau @davehunt I'm sure it will mean a lot for gnome that ubuntu is moving over to it.
