Depending on the BMI chart you look at, I am either Morbidly Obese or just Obese. Either way, itβs a significant improvement from where I was.

@PhoneBoy BMI is next to useless as a generic measurement of health, and even as a specific measurement it's not nearly so important as health professionals would have you think.
For one, it doesn't take into account body shape and build. I have a muscular build with short legs and a long torso. (6'1" with a 28" inseam) Every doctor who brings up BMI to me, I dismiss as a quack.

@SirBemrose I know BMI is not a great health measurement in the absolute. In relative terms, itβs useful for showing weight loss progress.

@PhoneBoy So is weight. Does your height vary that much during a diet routine?

@SirBemrose no but it does mean the next time I go visit my doctor, they'll probably have to update my medical record to say I'm just obese. Which, you know, is a victory of sorts.

@PhoneBoy Also, congratulations on the weight loss. Always feels good to be healthier, no matter how it's measured.

@SirBemrose thanks, it's been a process. I've done this before, but not with fasting. I also wasn't diabetic 10+ years ago.
