            Ah, now I remember why I didn't join the fediverse group before - I couldn't find a join link on the group's page. Bummer.

               Did you get subscribed this time? You can always select "Remote" on your https://sn.genesismachina.ca/indi/groups page and paste in the link from !Fediverse -- no need to go to their site to subscribe...

                  That works; why didn't I think of that before? Well that solves the problem of subscribing to groups... now I just need to figure out the problem of why I can't follow some people.
