@maxmustermann There is an interesting flipside to this. A place I worked at needed at DBA recently. We could not find an American one, not for a whole year. It appears that nobody is interested in specialised tech qualifications, so we had to look at H1B.

It's a story that's repeated by a few departments. The pay's good, too.
