    wrt that pumpio multiple IPs comment, multiple IPs should be entirely transparent at the federation layer if your server is doing its job right.

      @maiyannah I think that was in reference to the fact that proxying #pump.io and #node.js behind the main webserver was "unsupported" ... so multi-IP would be expected if the server also hosted other sites.

      @maiyannah It's mainly just that nginx didn't use to handle websockets, and the upcoming automatic letsencrypt stuff. Pumpio isn't doing anything stupid with regards to connections or anything like that.

      I think there was one thing, where it was trying to figure out whether an incoming connection was http or https depending on which port it used, so putting a proxy in front would disrupt that, but I don't know the status on that.
