You need a proxy that strips out #Javascript, ads, and other bad stuff before it hits your last-mile connection. Maybe #selfhost a #PiHole from home then connect to it from the hotel?

As an analogy to #malware (malicious software) and #maluser (malicious user) I thought I could portmanteau "malicious content" to #malcontent. But that already has another meaning, although not entire inappropriate

@lnxw48a1 @jim surely the browser caches the js? I find quitter works on my mobile even without a net connection

@kat @jim It often has to load it again first. If your browser goes out of focus or your screen locks, it goes through the whole process again. It could be loading from cache, but it still seemed to take as long.
