    Please... dont hurt me... but ... what is wrong with "mouth breathing"  I often breathe through my mouth when exercising.

      @kat Mouth breathing is a fine alternative option. For example think of a serious Rhinitis. You’d be fucked up.

      @kat Noses provide some protection from whatever one is inhaling, mouths don't. That is, purifying the air and warming it up.
      I think, for exercises trainers usually tell to inhale with the nose and exhale with the mouth.
