Good 5-minute read on BTC futures:

Did not know that contract sizes are 5 BTC and you have to maintain 35% of $$ in your account per contract, so fo 1 future you'd have to have ~$25K in your account.

After reading this, I actually see little to no effect because the biggest unknown in typical futures is oversupply/shortage and BTC quantities are 100% known and calculable.
