huwyte lashTotally grilled an Asian coworker last night about this hoodie he was wearing because I was curious and I had just finished complimenting/bantering with a few other dudes on their coordinated lumberjack flannel aesthetic.
It turned out to be some pro-Thai slash pro-Hmong cultural signal, and he was so plainly not offended about my asking nor shy about clarifying - with a proper sense of pride - his ethnic identity.
Tangentially, it surprised me that Thai *slash* Hmong was an identity.
