@joeyh @cwebber I was of a similar opinion with instances and instance drama, but now I think instances help to define communities. They act as a point of focus and identity. A bit like the notion of citizenship. I'm also pretty sure that in the near future it will continue to be the case that most users won't want to host their own, no matter how simple that becomes.
