@awg something's weird with my init, it seems at least stuff that should be run with rc.M is not run at all. Examples are crond and atd.

@roka strange. the last time an update was pushed for sysvinit-scripts for current was back in July. And this just started? No recent tweaks to inittab or anything?

@awg found the culprit. The custom SlackBuild for lprng i wrote installed an initscript to rc.lprng which returns 0, for some strange reason rc.M sources it instead of executing normally (so a return would close the rc.M script too)

@roka ah, good spot! it's been ages since I setup a printer using lp.lprng, so I don't recall the justification for sourcing it. glad that it was a simple enough fix.

@awg that elif was clearly a leftover from old times, guess they didn't clean up. I wonder why it was done like that, though.
