Christine Lemmer-Webber@maiyannah @lnxw48a1 @bob @verius I agree that mega-nodes are problematic but I don't agree that they're as bad and certainly aren't *worse* than twitter. Twitter will take you down for a ToS violation even for bridging content. Mastodon devs are actively interested in allowing users to more easily migrate (even if that's not nearly there).
We absolutely need to be on our toes about meganodes tho. Particularly filtering on an instance level as a general solution emphasizes eventual centrality.
