My Juggalo Story 2/2
The kid keeps ringing me up and not including my sub. I know he's being nice to me, but I don't know why. I'm in there in a suit. I'm making six figures. Why is this kid giving me free food? I say something one day like, "Thanks man, but I should be paying for this. And besides, it's very nice of you but I don't want you to get in trouble."
He replies, "Juggalo discount, bro" and I remember complimenting his tattoo.
Not much later he was gone. Poor kid. We were family.

@Combaticus That was the constant refrain they had yesterday at the DC rally I observed was that they were family not a gang as so declared by the FBI. It was a mix of the stereotypical and the unexpected. I don't know the particulars, but I suspect the "loosely affiliated gang" declaration comes on the heels of individuals that take that free sandwich idea... farther.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp They're mainly disaffected yoof. The kid was very kind to me, but it was unethical and immoral. It got to the point where I'd avoid his register because I didn't want to be party to stealing. Even so, I was touched by his kindness and desire to treat me like part of his clan. I've often wonder what came of him.
