      I'm currently at 2,048 accounts I am following. That is not a small number.

         but now we have lists, I could curate a directory to my neighborhood in the fediverse as a collection of categorical lists of accounts as I followed them, and then when someone was looking for someone I could just tag in the appropriate folk from the appropriate list
