It was kinda surreal to see newer eyes watching Hackers after spending a few days thinking about my old ISP that was newly online in 1995.
It was definitely a campy movie at times, and it was definitely a product of its times (fact check the nerd talk in a movie? why, nerds don't watch movies, normal people do and they won't know) but golly it was spot on in a lot of ways, and it's super impressive how well it accentuates how old some of our problems, technologically, socially, and culturally, really are when it comes to Getting On The Internet.
Thanks for the view, all who participated - your insights brighten my world.
