   My most hated systems: text/plain alternative is raw HTML; text/plain is a link to a (tracker) webpage to render the text/html part; a completely _blank_ text/plain alternative; or there is no text/plain alternative at all.

      You forget the hated "Your mail client doesn't support HTML" -- obviously *your* mail sending agent supports text/plain well enough to send that text/plain message, so why aren't you sending the actual text/plain message?

         @mikegerwitz @bobjonkman Plan text rules. I hate the cascading js dependencies just to render a menu or gif.
         Plus some encryption/signing add-ons don't like html email at all.
