     I will have a lightness to my step for the rest of my life for that time a colleague in an office abroad was impressed that I was moving abroad and starting my own company when I was even younger than her ... and I replied that I was almost ten years older than her. 😁

   Der kommende Montag ist der erste Montag im Juni und damit Zeit für den Fediverse Stammtisch in der c-base. Normalerweise schreibe ich an dieser Stelle, dass sei die perfekte Gelegenheit mal ein paar Gesichter hinter den Profilen im Fediverse zu treffen um über Themen des Fediverse zu schnacken.

   Das ist natürlich auch im Juni der Fall. Aber den Termin im am 3. Juni gibt es neben Informationen rund ums Fediverse auch noch einen Workshop-Abend libranet.de/display/0b6b25a8-2… zum Stand von Bits&Bäume / FSFE / KDE Eco beim Umweltfestival libranet.de/display/0b6b25a8-1… Ende April.

   Themen des Abends (je nach Nachfrage der Anmeldungen):

    Ich hab eben den Wohnort meiner Schwester mit meinem verglichen. In dem Gebiet, in dem ihr Dorf liegt, leben 8 Menschen pro km², in meinem Stadtteil sind es 9802 pro km², ihr Gebiet ist um den Faktor 100 größer. Sind nur klitzekleine Unterschiede 😀

      Ich wohne 8-10 Minuten mit dem Rad von meiner Arbeitsstelle entfernt. ich muss nur über die Straße gehen, um beim Discounter einzugehen und brauche nur 4-5 Minuten mit dem Lastenrad, um den Rest einzukaufen, den es beim Discounter nicht gibt. Ich habe außerdem zwei U-Bahn- und eine S-Bahn-Station fußläufig. Da ich alles per Rad und ÖPNV erreiche, konnte ich letztes Jahr mein Auto verkaufen, nachdem ich es zwei Jahre nicht gefahren bin. Wenn ich mich mit Freunden zum Bier trinken treffe, habe ich eine große Auswahl von Bier-Bars und ich kann mit dem ÖPNV nach Hause fahren. Ich komme locker per Rad oder ÖPNV zur Halle, in der der Handballverein spielt, dessen Fan ich bin und ich muss keine Parkgebühren zahlen. Und die Stadt in der ich wohne, hat ein Jobticket, bei dem ich für weniger als 35 Euro im Monat ein Deutschlandticket habe.

      Und wenn ich ins Grüne fahren möchte, brauche ich nur ein paar Minuten, um in einen der vielen Parks zu fahren, die es in der Stadt gibt.

    I planted six "Sweet Berry" (which are presumably sweet) and a variety that's supposed to produce large berries that I've already forgotten the name of. Snipped off all of the dead leaves, flowers and baby strawberries and popped them in. Just in time for rain 👍

    Saw Mad Max: Fury Road this morning.

    The direction and scenery is very impressive, and it's cool that so much backstory and context is conveyed with just glimpses and indirect references ... but the main story can be told in five minutes. And it is, at the 1:19:00 mark. The rest is 115 minutes of drive drive drive explosions with some of that world-building weaved in.

    On a whim this afternoon I built a small raised bed for strawberries. I used some old concrete blocks, cardboard, rotting logs, sticks, soild from some old planters, half-rotten hay and composted chicken bedding. All stuff I had lying around already, except for a light top dressing with bagged soil. Now I just need the plants and some straw mulch.

    Doing "Add A Finger" to the fingerprint recognition, but it's the same finger every time.

    That's a tip, btw. Sweaty, just washed, after working for four hours, any time it fails to recognize your finger, pretend they're different fingers and add them.
