     Es geht mir nicht um den Ertrag, aber ich habe gerade noch um die 400 Euro in einen neuen Akku gesteckt. Das Fahrrad ist auch regelmäßig gewartet worden und technisch und optisch in einem sehr guten Zustand.

     Das wäre aber ggf. eine gute Idee für mein noch älteres Fahrrad.

   Hoot is a Scheme to WebAssembly compiler backend for Guile, as well as a general purpose WebAssembly toolchain. In other words, Scheme in the browser!

   - Compatible with Firefox 121 or later.
   - Compatible with Google Chrome 119 or later.
   - Safari/WebKit is unsupported, unfortunately, as Wasm GC and tail calls are still not available.

   
   So there's GC in WASM now! That's very cool. So that's what makes Scheme possible ... without implementing a whole GC within WASM itself.

     I love how Spritely is able to work really long term thanks to grants from NLNet and others. Work on Spritely itself, work on Hoot to be able to run Spritely in the browser, etc.

     #Spritely is building a whole bootstrapped world of computing. And now it's solid enough to go into the core of Guile too, amazing.

      @Kermode I have not been able to reach my landlord for the entire time I've lived here, and there are doors, burners and air conditioners that need fixing.

      The new place has a direct lift connecting the flat to the mall without switching lifts at the podium.

      I will miss the open view from 50th floor, now replaced with a courtyard view from 15th.

      The rent is slightly higher, but not by much, and the existing landlord might have showed up for a renewal and demanded the same. The rent for either was market rent at the time of signing.

      The plans and interiors of the flats are identical but mirrored, but the lobby and corridor in the new place are slightly fancier.

      The direct lift and lower floor will save me three minutes when arriving home. 😃

      So we kind of moved 20% closer to school. 🤣

    Mastodon supports both acct=@user@host and acct=user@host, but IceShrimp only supports it without the leading @ and JMT always sends the leading @.

      The USA is not a railroad country. Trains still run on diesel, there is no country wide high speed network. And no, the long distance is no argument. Just have got a look at China. The longest service distance en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-spe… in the Chinese network is 2,760 km (1,710 mi). And the train does this in 10 1/2 hours. This is longer than the distance between New York and Dallas.

      On the short term it is cheaper to just build airports, but on longer term the railroad would be helpful.
