    @ando I been happy with it. I use prosody for the server.

    Unlike mastodon you can reliably use SRV #DNS records so the #xmpp server doesn't need to be on the same host, which for me is great

    So, #quad9 is a #DNS provider with a memorable address, 9.9.9.9, much like one you probably already know and love. But it returns an error for known #malware domains, and has a no-IP-logging privacy policy. It's a nonprofit initially funded mostly with $25M in cash seized from online fraudsters and the like by law enforcement.

    @kat @bob I'm sure #Google's original main purpose was to prevent local ISPs from hijacking #DNS requests and sending them through a #Yahoo based search page for revenue enhancement. (both #ATT and #Verizon are really bad about this).
