      Très bien la convergence de nombreuses associations et organisations pour la Grève et la Marche pour le climat à venir les 20 et 21 septembre. Mais cornegidouille, pourquoi imposent-ils (quasiment) tous d'aller voir sur un évènement Facebook pour trouver les informations pratiques (lieu, horaire...)?

    I think I learned something about #Facebook today: people use it because it has #groups like !GNUsocial! Well, sort-of? @palmella tells me that, *unlike* GNU social groups, Facebook heavily moderates (modulates?) the delivery of group-posts to users' home streams in ways that don't necessarily have obvious explanations....

    If you have Facebook "like" buttons embedded on your website, it could make you liable for breaking GDPR privacy laws, even if it's Facebook doing the illegal stuff:

    You can protect your site from legal liability (and protect your users' privacy) by removing all Facebook like buttons.

    Please tell your employers/organisations about this ruling, it may help convince them that Facebook is toxic (or at least that embedded like buttons are toxic).

    I think #infosec is really important. I use #linux instead of #windows, I dumped #facebook years ago, I have a #yubikey to use for everything. The kind of #technology we have to keep us safe and secure now are immense.

    I noticed a structural abnormality when looking at a hex dump of an image file from an unknown origin only to discover it contained what I now understand is an IPTC special instruction. Shocking level of tracking..
