Its good to know that creating anonymous IDs is not something to be frowned upon, but useful. Lack of this ability in real name tyrannies like FB is making people sad.

    Toll, ein Video kursiert derzeit, welches Filter beim Hochladen von Inhalten entsprechend in den Vordergrund rückt. Dreimal darf geraten werden, wo dieses Video entsprechend nur verfügbar ist: Genau, #YouTube. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, einmal mehr Kritik an #YouTube auf #YouTube (und Konsorten).

    Was verspricht man sich bitte davon? Das sich diese Unternehmen genau danach richten? Ja, das Video hat eine Copyleft-Lizenz und eine Weiterverbreitung wird explizit erlaubt. An sich bestünde da auch nur wenig Einwand von meiner Seite, wenn nicht direkt der nächste Einschnitt käme und auf die Webseite von Frau Julia Reda verwiesen würde - von ihr stammt das Video auch. Und genau auf dieser Webseite kann man Inhalte auf #Twitter und #Facebook weiter verteilen.

    Fehler im System? Ein bestehendes Paradigma lässt sich nicht so einfach ändern oder gar ersetzen. Im Gegenteil: Es wird sprichwörtlichst ALLES unternehmen, um so weitermachen zu können wie bisher. #Antithese

    @fla @paulfree14 Thanks for the link to the guidelines. Have you some date when those were published initially? I can remember my time at #Diaspora being two years back then and there were enough very harsh discussions. Real antisemitism, racism and much more on pods like diasporabr.com.br for example! Furthermore there are enough profiles even today with transphobic and homophobic content.

    From my point of view there has to be consequences: The freedom of speech is not limited, but has also borders. With my freedom I have NO further further right limitating the freedom and dignity of others! But that's the point: Enough profiles do this even today under the circumstance of "freedom of speech" and cry out loud "censorship" when somebody has words and reasonable arguments against that. People are really left alone when wanting to argument against racism and antisemitism, so #Diaspora is in NO WAY far more better or worse than #Facebook for example. "Be excellent to each other" is not enough and the given bullet points are also not enough to get a colorful community. It's just about having some time with the own profile to deal with for users when I had a look last time, the digital self-image is much more relevant than any kind of reasonable and good, deep discussion!

    @paulfree14 Interesting sidenote: Looking at allocated sites and third party cookies the website is using googleads.g.doubleclick.net and of course #Facebook. Well? Getting even bigger problems when not using tools like #uMatrix and some proxy like #Privoxy.

    No that's meant as criticism to you, just really a demonstration how websites are full with third party content. :(

    Was ich nicht verstanden habe und wohl auch nicht verstehen werde: Einerseits wird immer wieder proklamiert, dass es bei "freier Software" um ein neues Paradigma gehen soll und auch muss. Aber andererseits kurvt man derweil oft genug noch auf proprietären Plattformen herum und vermeldet dort sehr gerne Nachrichten und Diskussionen wie auch Videos und sonstige Inhalte.

    Wenn man derweil fragt, so geht es vornehmlich darum Inhalte nicht zu begrenzen sondern auch die Teilnehmer dort ebenfalls zu erreichen. Aber Hand aufs Herz: Werden diese sich denn davon etwas annehmen? Es wird doch für sie nochmals mundgerecht serviert und bequem weiter gereicht. Es bedarf keineswegs einer neuen Denkweise denn Nachrichten und interessante Neuigkeiten bekommt derweil doch bei #Facebook, #Twitter, #Google und #YouTube auch nachgereicht. Fast schon demütig sogar wird dann darauf auch seitens FSF hingewiesen wenn man Inhalte und Artikel teilen mag: "Einige Dienste KÖNNTEN unfrei sein!"

    Und derweil haben wir noch genügend Arbeit hier in den dezentralen Netzwerken vor uns. Diese ist mitnichten abgeschlossen. Meiner Betrachtung nach wäre es wichtiger hier vor der eigenen Haustüre zu kehren und nicht noch proprietäre Dienste einzubinden. Denn wie heißt es so schön? Schaue nur lang genug in einen Abgrund hinein und dieser schaut in dich. Abgewandeltes Zitat mit altem Hut und dennoch Relevanz, da man nicht ohne rückwirkendem Einfluss dort in den monopolistisch-proprietären Systemen unterwegs sein kann. Man wird in jedem Fall immer einen Einfluss mit zurück nehmen was nicht von Vorteil sein kann. #Eigene-Meinung

      Leo en un diario que “Facebook censura la portada de Marisol en Interviú 40 años después “

      La gente se sigue escandalizando por la “censura” y parece ser que al periodista que compartió la portada le han cerrado sus cuentas.
      Lo que a mi me sorprende a estas alturas de la película es la forma que tenemos de “protestar”: escribiendo tuits a través de otra red social que también censura, y que lo que se pida es que desbloqueen la cuenta;  para poder seguir publicando, eso si, sin la portada de la discordia, en la misma red censora y privativa. Cosa que se consiguió al día siguiente.
      Reflexionando sobre la noticia, me surgen varias preguntas:

      • Si censuran, manipulan y lo estas viendo…. ¿es necesario seguir publicando en estas redes? ¿es coherente seguir dotándolas de contenido y regalando datos?
      • Y… si te censuran por publicar unos pechos (que además si son masculinos no pasa nada) o incluso un cuadro… ¿merece la pena seguir publicando en esa red?
      • Y ya para terminar… ¿es más útil escandalizarse cuándo ocurre la “censura aceptada en los términos de uso”, o promover otro tipo de redes más libres y democráticas?

      Hay vida más allá de Fakebook, más libre y menos manipulada. Está a unos clicks de distancia.
      Buen comienzo de año!
