Speaker management is going to be the first major premium feature for #GetTogether, scheduled for the next release. You will be able to manage multiple speaker profiles and talks, with tools for even organizers to request, review and approve proposals for their events.

What else would you want from this feature?

Please do! The whole point of wanting to use #GetTogether is to get away from the proprietary surveillance services. #FeatureRequest: Local Login

#GetTogether looks great, but I can't figure out how to sign up -- there's only buttons for #Google, #Facebook, #Twitter and #GitHub, and I'm not about to use those...

One of our most requested features, the ability to create a recurring event, has just landed in https://gettogether.community!

Using the powerful django-recurrence library you can set whatever repetition rules you need, and #GetTogether will automatically create your next event!

Hey Mastodons, I hear you like open source and federation, so I'd like to tell you about https://gettogether.community/ an open source, federated(*) event planning service similar to Meetup

It's free to use, and while it's still very early development it is live! Try it yourself, share it with your friends, start a team ahd have a Get Together! #gettogether

    * Federation is simple and minimal, any help would be most welcomed. Source code is at https://github.com/GetTogetherComm/GetTogether https://mastodon.cloud/media/cPwAJ8QWw5m9yjpJqQk
