I will never trust him again. No serious #security person agree to work for the Stasi.

Got a new computer with #Windows 10?
Here is the best way to enhance its #privacy, hardening its #security and increase its #speed.
1. Insert the #Xubuntu installer USB
2. Reboot your #computer
3. Follow the instruction on the screen to install #Linux
Important: When prompted, make sure to choose "use the whole disk" otherwise problems may persist depending on your boot choices!

Why is #fossbytes still so dumb? #microsoft #windows crappy #security is what caused this
Why would antone describe Microsoft as some sort of hero for it? Like a Microsoft PR stooge? https://fossbytes.com/microsoft-stopped-massive-coin-miner-malware-campaign/In conversation from gnusocial.de permalink Attachments

Not sure what is more shocking:
A CA having 23k private keys of their customer's certs and the CEO emailing them: http://blog.koehntopp.info/index.php/3075-how-not-to-run-a-ca/
A CA having a website which allows RCE as root, from a website input: https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2018/03/trustico-website-goes-dark-after-someone-drops-critical-flaw-on-twitter/
I'm just speechless.

#Firefox #Nightly has been running a spectacular experiment on the path to increasing #security of all users..
I shared announcement last week about blocking insecure content in HTTPS https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.platform/xjZQq0kEauM
..the Telemetry data is coming in - and it's pretty exciting news for Mozilla's #websecurity team.
In more than 12M connections only 4 reports of breakages.
Effectively upgrading all the connections to HTTPS.

@strypey @nikola Almost all of the people i come in contact with on a daily basis, do not have the technical ability, or the know how, when it comes to their cellphones. There seems to be this pervasive #Blase attitude when it comes to #Privacy and #Security. It's hard enough trying to keep one's computer locked down tight, without having that cellphone bullshit walking though your door, and undermining everything. They can fuck off. @charlag It's not that easy because what about #security? Better having applications installed from secured and known repositories. Not everybody is able to build applications and packages from the source. In conversation from gnusocial.federated-networks.org permalink -
