    @witti Einige BSD-Derivate stehen noch auf der Liste für Tests. :) Zunächst einmal in der VM! Vor 8 Jahren habe ich mit #Ubuntu komplett begonnen (ohne duales System nebenher) davor immer wieder Ausflüge mit #SuSE, davor auch einmal länger mit #Corel-Linux. Letztgenanntes war auch länger im Einsatz, hat dann aber das Zeitliche gesegnet, weil die Hardware nicht mehr wollte! :(

    Und den allerersten Ausflug in die unixoide Welt war 1999. Was waren mein Vater und ich stolz als wir zwei Augen auf dem Monitor hatten, die dem Mauszeiger folgten. Nur war dann die Frage: Was denn jetzt? Grauer Bildschirm (aka X-Server) und eine witzige Darstellung in der Mitte. Nur keine Programme und Bedienoberfläche? Hätten wir einmal weiter gemacht, dann wäre der Wechsel von #Windows schneller verlaufen.

    Sei es drum: Heute ist das Meiste "unixoid" - im weitesten Sinne! :D

    @z428 @hikerus @paulfree14 Genau das hat mich einst wieder zu #GNU-Linux gebracht. Und mit #Ubuntu-12.04 habe ich dann endlich eine komplette Migration durchführen können und #Windows ins Nirvana geschickt. Aber nach der Version hat sich das in eine andere Richtung entwickelt und heute? Heute produziert #Canonical ein #Linux für Subsysteme unter #Windows. Ist das noch das ursprüngliche #Ubuntu? Meines Erachtens nicht. Aber ich kann mich auch täuschen. Jedenfalls hat mich das tiefer hinein gebracht und schlussendlich dann auch zu #Parabola, #Hyperbola, mit kurzer Stippvisite bei #Devuan und #Gentoo. Und nun teste ich #Slackware. Spannende Reisen! :D

    My LXD install is via snap and so I got auto-upgraded to the 3.0 release. Which broke my networking.

    The fix for me was to create a new network interface and move all of my containers over to it and delete the old one. Wasn't hard once I figured out what was going on, but took me a while. Hope that save someone time.

    Also, if you're using the snap I'd recommend switching from "stable" and to a release stable. It upgrades less. I'm now on the "3.0/stable" branch.
