At least it's clear: hurtful language is welcome on #YouTube, incendiary videos will get precious engagement and be recommended across the whole platform, its creator may just not get paid for them, on equal footing with positive LGBT content that is systematically demonetized.

Users — and more importantly to YouTube, advertisers — have over the past year started to hold the platform accountable for enabling the exploitation of children and exposing them to disturbing content. But this video reveals an entirely different way the platform is harming kids: by letting them express extreme views in front of the entire world. This is what indoctrination looks like when it’s reflected back by the indoctrinated.

This is sick, simply sick...
Of course, it’s all presented in the terminally ironic style popularized by boundary-pushing comedy groups like the influential Million Dollar Extreme and adopted of late by white supremacist mass shooters in Christchurch and San Diego.

Assuming you can call shit like this comedy, which we finally have to cease. This is not comedy, this is spreading of hate, fearmongering, and inciting violence against minorities. To call it comedy is like surrendering to the ongoing threat of white supremacy, fascism, racism, nationalism. Plain as simple, isn't it? Well, it doesn't seem to go in everybody's head, which is a problem as well.
She’s 14, precocious, isolated, and pissed off, a combination that has produced a lot of bad behavior over the years, but not all of it monetized through preroll ads and a Patreon, and not all of it streamed to millions.

She's consciously threatening her life. I would report her, to get her parents imprisoned and may the Social Services take care of her, to find her a stricter foster family to straighten her, anyhow. This can't go on like this, she clearly requires some education in discipline. Well, she is something like a right-winger, isn't she? Well then, why not send her into a boot camp? They'll take care of her there, and I'm sure she's gonna love it. 😉

What can I say, I went straight down a rabbit hole.” At press time, O’Connell vowed to use incognito mode if he desired to watch 14 hours of Hitler speeches again.

Hinterfragt bitte doch einmal eure Einstellung. Weswegen seid ihr nochmals hier? Nicht das ich hier euch etwas unterstellen möchte, aber der Kontext ist schon mehr als nur seltsam. Quelloffene Software nutzen und gleichzeitig aber proprietäre Dienste propagieren? Hat was von Ironie, aber noch lange keinen "Gegenpol" oder gar eine "Antithese". So liebes #Fediverse: Heute mal direkt und klar. Mich kotzt es einfach an zu lesen wie sich hier Teilnehmer wieder über Begrifflichkeiten unterhalten und defakto ganz deutlich liberal positionieren und so überhaupt keine Stringenz mehr aufweisen. Och, wir brauchen "Humanismus". Och, wir brauchen "gemeinsame Ziele".

Wisst ihr was? Geschenkt. Das endet doch bereits genau dort, wo eigene Privilegien wieder zum Diskurs stehen und man auf einmal nicht mehr diskutieren will. Männlichkeit? Nein, will ich nicht besprechen. Proprietäre Dienste? Nein, will ich nicht besprechen, weil ich selbst auch teilen will wie mir gerade der Schnabel gewachsen ist. Linke Politik und Meinung? Nein, das ist vergiftet, will ich nicht.

Wisst ihr was? ICH will nicht mit soviel Opportunismus debattieren. Hier einmal einige Punkte:

- Streamingaktivitäten verbrauchen sehr viel Energie und damit stehen #YouTube und #Netflix sehr weit oben in einer ziemlich schlechten Öko-Bilanz. Ändert man aber das? Dazu müsste man zunächst die Urheber kontaktieren und für andere politische Verwertungsstrukturen sorgen. Danach dezentrale und freie Strukturen weiter auf- und ausbauen. Ist das gewollt? Nö, aber man kann ja weiter sich dann an seine Inhalte setzen. Und nein, ich habe nirgends Profile / Konten und versuche das zu meiden wo ich nur kann. Ganz davon ab, dass die Unternehmensnetzwerke #Twitter, #YouTube und Co. "Hass" auch noch vermarkten!

- Einen #Gegenpol schafft man nicht von heute auf morgen. Dazu braucht es mehr Diskussionen und die Bereitschaft das Negative zu sehen bevor man das Positive dazu definieren kann. Ist das gewollt? Nein, lieber verharmlost Mensch deutlich Faschismus in jedweder Form. Anfangen von Kapitalfaschismus bis hin zu umfassenden Parteien, die das als Banner vor sich her tragen.

- Begriffsdiskussionen helfen konkret wem? Ihr seid der Meinung, dass #Demokratie, #Links und mehr unterlaufen sind? Okay, wo ist eure Definition?

Ihr wollt einen #Gegenpol? Cool, super. Angebote gibt es genug, Teilnehmer ebenso. Aber dann tut nicht so, als würdet ihr "altklug" einfach immer eine Debatte anstoßen. Bleibt dann einfach auch einmal bei dieser. Befasst euch damit und prägt Alternativen, zeigt sie auf. Quelloffene Software und Hardware? Fordert das ein. Helft Anderen. Schreibt Anleitungen und teilt sie dann auch wirklich FREI, ohne Beharren auf irgendwelchen Rechten. Denn auch dort geht es weiter mit dem netten Opportunismus. Ich bin es einfach leid das zu lesen. #Stop-Playing-Bullshit
