We will never have a safe and respectful online space (not just on Masto, but on a fork or anywhere else) until we acknowledge ALL the insidious ways abusers abuse. Over & over I see people saying that someone isn't responsible for their followers going after someone they CLEARLY set up as a target. "But he didn't tell them to attack her." No, but he talked about her again & again, negatively & as the wronged party, until his followers saw her as an enemy. We need to recognize this as abuse.

Hey. If someone has blocked you, don't keep publicly discussing them with others on your TL. It incites others to harass them in your stead. Yes, even if you don't direct it. If you keep publicly going on about someone, followers who are already wanting someone to attack will seize the opportunity to "defend" you by harassing them. If someone blocks you, just don't talk about them. Be responsible about the effect of your actions.
