It means "time zone appropriate greetings" to those who are not in the same part of the world. There is another related hastag : #tzaf (time zone appropriate farewell)

This depends on what you want to do with it. Besides, #friendica can federate with #diaspora. That means if you have an account on one of these platforms, you can follow/subscribe to people who are using the other platform. That way, you technically have access to the whole federation of diaspora and friendica. The rest depends on your personal choices and the look & feel, user interfaces etc. Just give it a try and compare.

Meanwhile, SLT has failed to fix our telephone /ADSL/ PeoTV connection. We informed them about the failure on the 23rd. Oh well...

It's been such a refreshing week at Colombo International Theatre Festival. New plays. New people. I feel very much energized.

I've tried it. I even ran my own single user instance for a while too. It's a great free alternative to Facebook and similar platforms.
