Blockchain democracy won't work. But online "direct democracy" voting definitely will work. There are ways to verify all votes are valid, there are ways to algorithmically include the secluded offline grand-mother securely too.

You basically ask people to vote on everything, people don't have to vote if they don't have time or don't care. The algorithm can automatically identify the best representatives of the people among all the people, based on people's voting patterns easily. @adam

@adam Gun ownership in the Netherlands is seen not as a right. Self defense is not regarded as a valid argument for owning a gun, and only the police are allowed to carry a weapon and 99% of Dutch police do not carry any gun on duty it's only a special police task force very rarely deployed that can carry guns in Holland.

@ChrisWilson @MattyBFiles @adam yes if I understand correctly, the $35'000 Tesla Model 3 is exactly the same hardware as the $52'000 Tesla Model 3, the only difference is a software unlocking of full 310mile (vs 220mile) battery range and the software unlocking of full self-driving mode. Seems to me the basic $35K model has all exactly the same hardware. I don't like that.

@MattyBFiles @adam Yes and while Tesla for sure has been on a long road for over a decade trying to get really successful with the EV market, nobody thought it made sense 10 years ago now all the other major car companies have huge investments into EV, for example Porsche just announced a €6 Billion investment in EV car tech. Volvo goes 100% EV/Hybrid by 2020. No matter what, Tesla managed to influence the auto market. I think the solution for EV range is 1-minute automated EV swapping.

@adam @Iamthebammbamm @ChrisWilson and Tesla Model 3 still has more than 500 thousand pre-orders, can't blame Elon Musk for not being able to ramp up huge mass production quantities overnight. It takes time to ramp up that new huge Tesla car factory in California and that huge battery gigafactory in the Nevada desert. He says rate will be 2500/week by end of Q1 and 5000/week by end of Q2. Sure that's still nothing compared with Ford's 50'000 cars sold per week. Ramping up quantities takes time.
