@irritable sure Spacey is great in House of Cards but Robin Wright is pretty awesome also. And I think they were preparing the last season to be all about Robin Wright's character anyway. In the last scene of previous season, Spacey was calling her phone and she was not answering. She's the president now, the show is going to be just fine without Spacey. Maybe the first thing she shpuld do is use some kind of secret agent to get him killed off, that'd be funny Spacey can start some other project

@Johnny_of_the_swamp and actually as far as I understand it, Kevin Spacey kind of co-owns the show, Kevin Spacey created Netflix basically. Netflix owes him Billions literally. And he's listed as Executive Producer on the whole show. That's not going to be an issue though, Kevin Spacey surely has no problem taking some time off.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp I'm sure it'd be fine for them to use Kevin Spacey a little to humiliate his character even more perhaps at the beginning of the new season, add in the sexual harassment angle to the show, if not him appearing in it then at least they could make some kind of thing where Robin Wright and her staff pushes out sexual harassment claims against Kevin Spacey to humiliate him further as part of the show, him appearing or not, both could work. And be awesome.

@adam basically the House of Cards writers could write the last season for Robin Wright the first female president to be a kick-ass character, let her make peace with North Korea, peace with Iran, peace in Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, they could make her single handedly solve Brexit, migration, pipelines, electric cars, global warming, healthcare, wildfires, etc. They could seize the opportunity and show how a women as president can solve everything immediately. the last male president hummiliated

Spoiler alert: At the end of the last season of House of Cards, Kevin Spacey's charachter (The President) is basically kicked out of the White House, his wife played by Robin Wright is the President and she says "My Turn" it's basically perfect for them to write Kevin Spacey out of the last season of the show (maybe they even write in some sexual harassment into the script) and I think fans of the show look forward to see "all the good" a female president like Robin Wright can do to the show.
