Yes, that would be nice. But, unfortunately many people don't use desktop email clients and only use web mail. For those people, it wouldn't work. Still, git could have provided at least an optional feature of integrating with a local mail client.

I started with common lisp, but began using lisp extensively only after I started using emacs. Later, due to the influence of guix and other projects, I gave up on common lisp and moved to guile. I liked the way the guile community w…

When I write !scheme libraries, should I try to write code independent of Scheme implementation, or should I just write for Guile, my preferred scheme implementation? When I prefix my library names with "guile-", I feel like I am s…

Looking for chapter authors for some parts of an Introduction to #Philosophy open textbook I'm helping to edit. Also looking for editor for Aesthetics section. Open textbook is free of cost, licensed to allow re-use (CC BY). This is a volunteer activity; we have no money, sadly, but a lot of enthusiasm!

@jasper there are a number of advantage to using s-expressions. A couple of big ones for me are:

Having a single syntax for logic and data. You can take any piece of code and transform it using the same language you're already using. I wrote about the benefits of that in detail here

    https://yogthos.net/posts/2017-10-03-MovingForwardByLettingGo.html

S-expressions also allow much better editors where you're manipulating blocks of logic as opposed to lines of code as seen here

what people think programming is like: i hacked into the mainframe and initiated a kernel override with a sidechain attack

what programming is actually like: my program broke because i mispelled "public" as "pubic"

I don't know about translating the full documentation of a project. Those tend to be huge. But, for starters, perhaps we can attempt translating something like the tldr pages.
    https://tldr.sh/
I have asked if they are willing to support multiple languages.

It would be nice if tldr pages existed in other (human) languages too, and not just English. Is there any plan for tldr pages to support multiple languages?

@demonshreder @louis Prompted by this thread, today, I translated 105 of the 605 strings of the Guix project. https://translationproject.org/domain/guix.html
It will take a while for my work to be reviewed, and finally accepted upstream. But, I will get it done. And, perhaps, I'll translate the remaining 500 strings too. Thank you both for motivating me to do this.

There is always a lot of potential in the long term. Keeping motivation up in the short term is the difficult part. Anyways, thanks for your word of encouragement. I appreciate it.
