Ok, I understand. It's indeed annoying to replace an entire motherboard to fix one malfunctioning component.

No, 40 m is 7.5 MHz. The 'm' after 40 refers to metres, not milli. The wavelength is 40 m. Therefore, the frequency is 3e8/40 = 7.5 MHz.

Yes, many addons no longer work. That is an annoyance. But, I've found reasonable replacements for many of them. Besides, I can't afford to use an outdated, probably insecure, browser.

I am not convinced by the PPL myself. I prefer to stick to traditional copyleft licenses like the GPL and the AGPL.

My Android phone broke, and seems to be unfixable. I don't feel like buying a new one. I was blissfully phoneless for a week or so. I finally borrowed an old feature phone from @solariiknight. I am impressed by how sturdy and usable these phones are, and how distraction free they are. A strange feeling considering that about a decade and a half ago, when phones were new, I was eager to keep upgrading to the latest and greatest phones. Looks like I have come full circle.

Is there a way to migrate from GNU Social to Pleroma without losing followers and if possible, even the posts? I currently self-host GNU Social on my own hardware, and have full control over it. I can even manually run database queries, if it comes to that. Any suggestions?

Please boost if you think someone on your friends network might know the answer.

Running a small homeserver with chat, data sync and maybe email should be a small appliance everyone should have.

If you cannot admin it yourself consider projects like #freedombone.

Care for your loved ones online too, protect their data...
