♻Anyone who claims that they operate on "logic and facts" instead of "emotions and feelings" does not. They have simply convinced themselves that all of their emotional reactions are logical ones. The fact that they don't realize this makes them MORE subject to their emotions. #emacs

Supporting the Indian Rupee (INR) will make Liberapay extremely useful to a lot of Indians. I know that your current payment processor (Mangopay) does not support the INR, and integrating new currencies is a lot of work for you. But, both @prashere and I could help you with the code, and could also find other payment processors that support the INR. Would such a setup with multiple payment processors (current Mangopay and some other payment processor) work for you? What will it take? Do let us know.

I've started funding several free software projects on Liberapay. Surprisingly, my SBI MasterCard debit card was able to make the necessary international transaction to add money to my Liberapay wallet. Given my past experience with international transactions, I had assumed my debit card wouldn't work.

Folk Singer’s Arrest Shows India’s Free Speech Problem
      from Human Rights Watch
Police in India’s southern Tamil Nadu state arrested well-known folk singer S. Kovan last week for singing a song at a protest meeting that criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The arrest was in response to a complaint filed by a supporter of Modi’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Kovan, whose music video of the song went viral on YouTube, is currently out on bail, but is charged with promoting communal enmity and disturbing “public tranquility.”

Regarding Facebook tracking non-users Mark Zuckerberg said "This kind of data collection is fundamental to how the internet works."

I'm not a networking expert but I know enough to be able to confidently say that nothing at all about this data collection is fundamental to how the Internet works. I guess he was using Silicon Valley speak where "the internet" means "huge corporations who make most of their money by selling ads and illegally collecting as much data as possible".

Sometimes, a good night's sleep helps too. At other times, taking a break and doing something else helps too.
