@jeffcliff comrade I am deep in the spacemacs rabbit hole and not quite ready to come out yet.

On a side note, this http://spacemacs.org/ is cool because I can use emacs to write in many languages and it keeps track of layers of relevant packages for me.

to be fair its desktop client isnt as neato as Discord but its stable and implements most of the features one would use in a chat app.

@mike Ive got some resources at my disposal. The items were stolen at my SOs families house and they have super good insurance. if it pays out I might get the Rizen HP Spectre.

Legit though I am so thankful to my SO for making me keep frequent backups.
