@Elizafox its interesting those are all second wave shitposter servers, including Sealion (SLC) which is hosted on the same server as Freezepeach (FZP).

these servers, along with the chan servers that predate them (soykaf, shitposter, FZP) are a small blip in the history of Gnusocial, like I said GS was once just FLOSS nerds and brazillian leftists.

@Elizafox definitely not. i was on ostatus far before mastodon was a thing and and the *small clump* of servers you are referring to (shitposter.club, smuglo, FZP/SLC, ex-soykaf) are nothing compared to the huge mass of quitter instances that were for FLOSS nerds and brazillian social anarchists.

in fact when the shitposter GS instances came about they were instance blocked by many other GS instances like several quitters.
