"Does dropping (malicious) USB drives in parking lots and other places really work?"

297 samples were dropped, 290 got picked up. 135 people opened documents (HTML pinger), 54 flash drives got returned.

20% were opened within the first hour. In less than 5 hours half of the devices were used by someone.

I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but there absolutely _needs_ to be a federated version of GitHub/GitLab.

Let me host my projects' critical infrastructure (issue tracker, PRs, private repos etc) on my own servers, while also being able to interact and socialize with the rest of the open source world.

I'll keep saying this until someone builds it - I would do it myself if I had enough time on my hands right now.

How do you monitor system(d) services on your Linux server?

Bonus points for being able to get notified about errors via mail _and_ IRC.

Glad to hear that, because if that's the case, every programmer's bound to die as a happy person 😂

@61 No worries, I'm sure twenty years from now I'll say the same kind of things about JSON, TOML, YAML and half a dozen other *ONs and *MLs 😂

@gentoorebel Usually yes, agreed, but that doesn't explain the motivation behind someone's actions.

Sometimes people go to all lengths to see others suffering... expending far more energy and time than they would doing something really meaningful.

It's incredible to witness how much energy and motivation some people develop, as soon as they got the opportunity to harm or hurt others...

...yet how lazy they are when it comes to achieving something positive or building something constructive in their life.

Actually, I like it in the same sense that I really do like C++. Both are incredibly powerful, but also spiraled a bit out of control.
