@Charbax Absolutely incorrect. The founding fathers were especially fearful of direct democracy, believing that the mob didn't know what was good for it's self. Read Adams, Hamilton, and even Jefferson. There was a lot of thinking around the time of the founding that direct democracy would lead to despotism. Some, like me, still believe that to be true. Anyway, that's why the established a representative republic and Congress—and the electoral college.

Yo. I was in the republic of Santa Monica, CA this past week. We went to the 3rd Street Promenade. They blocked off 3rd St. for an outdoor shopping experience. Some really expensive retail space. REALLY expensive. In the midst of Cartier, Louis Vuitton and the like sits a Tesla "dealership". Elitemobiles suck.
