    I was going to announce it a bit later and more properly, but Mastodon received a $70k grant from Samsung NEXT through OpenCollective. I intend to make it available to those who contribute to the project, and have already notified some of the most regular contributors. The way OpenCollective works is that anyone can submit an expense and all transactions are listed transparently. It also holds the money.

    As for myself, I intend to continue using Patreon for my own wage/costs.

    I finally got around to finishing an update to Nexus Tools. It can install ADB and Fastboot (commonly used for debugging/fixing/updating Android devices) on Mac or Linux in just a few seconds.

    It now downloads the Platform Tools package hosted on Google's servers, so you're always getting the latest version of ADB and Fastboot. It also should work on more Linux distros than before!

    @ondra I think the old version of VLC that uses ARC is still in the Chrome Web Store. It was pretty crashy the last time I used it, though.
