BTW Quo Vadis (1951) was a particularly good sword & sandal epic. Worth seeing. Deborah Kerr, Peter Ustinov & Finlay Currie gave great performances. Quite long at 2 hours 45 minutes, but enough to keep your interest, and therefore it doesn't seem that long.
"what’s at stake is not winning some stupid blame game. At stake is the future of Europe and the UK as well as the security and interests of our people. You don’t want a deal, you don’t want an extension, you don’t want to revoke, quo vadis?" Donald Tusk
@tyil I'm kind of joking about the Talisker being an emergency whisky. I too like having a little variety, so I can look into the cupboard and select something different this time. The Talisker might be the right one this time, and another whisky for another time.
I don't remember having a malt whisky I didn't like, though there are some that I like more than others. Blended whisky is a different matter, I've had some terrible ones. @BlackChaosNL@kline
@tyil The Talisker is peaty, for sure. 😃 Talisker is one of my favourites, I have one in the cupboard for emergencies. If you want some variety, in addition to the Talisker, you won't go wrong with the Oloroso.
@tyil Sorry, the thread didn't load fully, earlier.
I'd go for the Peated, but that is a personal preference. That said, the Oloroso is probably the higher rated whisky. I don't know anything about the First Fill, I've not come across it before. I would expect all of these malts will be excellent, you can't go wrong, it will be down to personal preference.
Do bear in mind these are all cask-strength and will have a kick.
@gedvondur You ain't seen nuthin' yet. 😃 One of our supermarkets sells pre-peeled potatoes in a platic bag. Not only are they expensive and environmentally wasteful, they look absolutely disgusting. They look all slimy.
