@ProfWorr I spent a few years in the 'burbs there until "Middle School", but it has changed, whole lotta growth. I'm taking a bit of a pay cut, because the Mothership corporation adjusts pay bands regionally but it should come out in the wash with the lack of income taxes and what not.

This is actually what concerns me the most about progressives in general. They are very susceptible to believing whatever fits the narrative. And if you want to believe that they are neo-nazis instead of just disaffected white dudes who have failed to launch, then believing they hate Jews is a good way to do that. But it doesn't particularly add up. Even weirder would be asking why they think Jews are replacing them. Gullible, unrealistic and hyperbolic. Bad qualities. 2/2

I think there's an ongoing ret-con meme. Back when the whole Charlottesville thing went down I remember they were saying "You will not replace us" which I assumed was about immigration. But lately I've seen progressives refer to them as saying “Jews will not replace us.”

I'm not saying I know the truth, because I don't. But this is one of those things where one thing can be tweaked and suddenly a different thing is widely accepted.

@DrChris man is it really the case that the virtue signals are gonna strangle these candidacies in the crib? Say what you want about Hillary but she at least was a little more conservative (lol?) about chiming in on public incidents.

@Droopinheimer definitely a competitive advantage to those companies large enough to afford this kind of lobbying. Apple got a big tax break to build a datacenter near where I grew up in NC. I think in the mix of everything the politicians were naive about understanding the number and nature of the jobs for said datacenter - security, facility staff and some technicians to swap hardware.
