@MartinJJ honestly, I am 99% sure the instructor was doing this to get business for where ever else she normally teaches this class. I bet this was a sales opportunity for her to get new members at her gym/studio.

You act like this is a class that is part of the curriculum or something. You act like they get college credits for it, like it was offered BY the school. It wasn't. It was offered at the school as a one time student event.

If this is the case, my college taught mechanical bull riding several times.
