Hey #rustlang friends, any suggestions for a good crate as alternative to libarchive. I don't want to extract any files, just get a list of the files and be able to peek the bytes of a specific file when needed, something like zip crate but more general.
hey clowns a new anime by a black creator called cannon busters drops on Netflix today, you know what to do (watch that shit) and also spread the word šš¾ :boost_ok:
GNOME has a reputation of being the most accessible Linux desktop, so it's sort of sad how janky our accessibility actually is. While keyboard navigation is generally good, things like the screen reader don't work right, and there was entire cycle where zoom was broken.
For an example of the screen reader, some widgets don't properly read out what they're for or their labels. In Firefox it will only read the first line of any paragraph (and only the line, not a sentence), and in GNOME Web it doesn't read anything at all.
Using the screenreader for a bit has been an enlightening experience. I'm going to try to do better for my own apps, and any apps I have time to fix.
I keep seeing a lot of apologies for not being interesting or funny or positive, and I just wanna say:
You are a person, not a brand. You do not need to be consistently anything but yourself. If you need to take a break, that's OK. We're all people, we'll understand.
If you're lonely, you don't harass people for dates. If you're struggling with the existential question of your place in a changing world, you don't promote white nationalism.
There's no psychiatric condition to explain white supremacy. There's no inherent essence to a neo-Nazi. These are just people in your office, your dorm hall, your neighborhood.
