Ok evidently the shiny new #mongodb only comes in a 64-bit flavour and this is a 32 bit box. I found an older version in the Ubuntu repo. -

These classes I am taking want me to use a MEAN stack. I'd rather do something else but hopefully I can get through this nonsense and then move on to better things
