@zephasaurus_hex If you're reading 50 a year (I am too), you shouldn't really worry I guess unless you want to push it into superreader territory (100+ books per year).

I would say get more books and read more books at the same time and abandon more of them as well.

Why would a young enterprising soul care much about the consequences of their actions as long as they can get some while the getting is good? (And the risk of getting stabbed to death during an uprising in Aceh is a lot lower which definitely adds to the appeal.)

@machado It's very German. I wouldn't even have expected it in Berlin actually.

@Elmkast Just to add to that, for instance here in Berlin traffic German people will not swear because:
1. They might actually face criminal charges.
2. Actual swearing (beyond 'Penner') would demean them and make them look like an uncivilized person.

My Dutch accent has today been spotted both in my English and in my German.

@HerraBRE Over here, yesterday #2of2 managed to deliberately pee on the potty repeatedly. It will probably take some time to move away from nappies but still progress.

@Elmkast I usually graph out the pages I've read per month and make a list of books with the ones I would recommend in bold.

There is no limit to the amount of housework I can do as long as I'm listening to good podcasts. Turns out there aren't enough really good podcasts.

@roysmeding At a certain point I figured out that every Doctorow book is the same (how many books have this spicy food motive?) and stopped reading it.
