There was much rejoicing. Not for the scooters that appear to have infested Vienna as well, but that NAS has returned.

And that I'm on the way home. Just landed in AMS with a tight connection to SEA. May the travel odds be ever in my favor.

Long day, long trip. So ready for this bed, even though it's not my own.

The seats from Shanghai to Bangkok are decidedly less swanky.

Not a huge fan of boarding from the tarmac.

@dcgirl I'm still trying to wrap my head around doing content filtering at the scale the Chinese government is clearly doing it.

@dcgirl I don't notice anything different on my US SIM, but when I'm using a local WiFi connection, a lot of shit no workie.

Pro-tip: transiting through China means you're now in their database. They take fingerprints and photos of you.

And, yeah, they block certain social media apps, but not our part of the fediverse.

Wonder if all my electronics feel like they're home now. They're almost all made in China, after all. But the feeling will be…brief.

@Klaatu you know what killed mayo for me? The fact most of it is made with soybean oil. Which is horrible for you.
