If you think laws will stop companies like Facebook from propagating your data without your consent, ask the entertainment industry how well the existing laws are keeping people from propagating and consuming unauthorized copies of content.

All that data and Facebook and Google collect about us, and they can't figure out how to make effective use of it for advertising. Proctor and Gamble sees through the bullcrap.
