@jeremiah prior to 1981, there weren't a lot of end users of computers. The rate of change in this area was manageable.

Now everything and everyone's connected at speeds we couldn't imagine in 1981. Things are also changing at a rapid pace.

The NFL still knows how to put on a good show for the masses.

I think I may have just hit on something.

Nerds develop a technology. The technology is adopted by the nerds. Eventually, the non-nerds come in, "ruin it" for the nerds, so they create another more complex technology. Which the non-nerds adopt, "ruin it," and the cycle begins again.

Am I wrong?

@SpookyR basically it works like this:

1. You host a website that has links to other presences (e.g. social media) with rel=me
2. Those presences must link back to the site in #1. Assuming those presences offer some sort of "compatible oAuth" method, you can use it for authenticating you own your website.

It makes my brain hurt to even explain this.

@cybette I definitely avoid the cards that have fees. Those interest rates if you don't pay them off every month, though.
